Echoblaster - a fun science toyThe Echoblaster for demonstrations on sound waves, light waves, & earthquake waves. This cool science toy alows you to model all basic waveforms and have fun at the same time. Sound WavesThe Echoblaster is a fun way to learn about some of the characteristics of sound waves. Sound needs air. In outer space there is no air, so you can not hear sounds. Sound traves because air molecules are bumping into each other. Use the Echoblaster to model how sound moves through the air. By pulling back and then letting go of the spring you create a compression wave that will travel back and forth across the length of the spring. Space PhoneWhen you speak into the cup, your sound waves vibrate the bottom of the cup, which, in turn, vibrates the coil of the spring. Each coil in the spring absorbs the vibration and then passes it along to the next one. This is a slow process so we end up with an echo. Order todayWe make every effort to make science exciting. This science toy was designed and build by Rock-it Science Director John McChesney in Silicon Valley, California.
