 Welcome to the SCAIS!

SCAIS stands for Science Castle Animal Information System. You will find all the animal stuff in this system. It has 4 main components: Animal Library, Zookeeper, SEASCAPES, and The Science Castle Zoo. More features might come in the future.

Science Castle Animal Library

This is where you will find most of the animal information. The library consists easy-to-read facts on many different species of animals. All the animals were organized by the zookeeper. Facts that include are diet, size, population, descriptions, and fun facts. Some animal profiles also have SCAIS videos (*coming soon). If you are interested in learning about animals, the animal library is the right place for you!

Did You Know?

Frogs can "breath" their skin. A frog's skin is thin and contains many mucous glands that keep it moist where oxygen can be absorbed .

Ask The Zookeeper

This is where you can ask questions regarding animals. The zookeeper, Joan Avila, can answer any questions about animals, zoology, wildlife and captivity information. He can also help you care for your pets and help treat any problems or concerns. If you have any questions, ask the zookeeper.

Science Castle Zoo

So, there is no zoo in your area? Then check out the internet's first online zoo! With new technology, the zoo animals are LIVE on camera from different types of zoos around the world. There are 12 animal exhibits including the polar bears, elephants, pandas, and sharks. Each room has a chat box so you and your friends can watch the animals together. It also contains brief fun facts on the side bar. So if there is no local zoo, then sit back and visit the science casle online zoo!

SEASCAPES

There is nothing more fun on the web than watching a live webcast on animals! Every month or so, SEASCAPES is live on sciencecastle.com. The schedules will be posted on the SCAIS, SEASCAPES, and Entrance Hall Pages. The events take place on the SEASCAPES main page. You will also find previous videos and information about SEASCAPES.
